February 08, 2010, 15:47
battery (-) to chassis and to block would be best.
I have (-) to chassic and block to chassis
February 08, 2010, 15:32
Someone mad among us has some good news to report today;D
February 08, 2010, 15:11
Cheers Nigel.  I'll check chassis connection and continuity of earth cable.
February 08, 2010, 14:41
The problem is normally the connection to the chassis as it's usually through a hole and uses clamping force. Better to weld a nut to the chassis and use the bolt in the thread to be the contact.
February 08, 2010, 14:33
Well, I'd have thought it easier to take the negative battery lead to the chassis, but there's no reason why it shouldn't be alright like that......as I say, just got to check you have good contact at each position. I take it your battery is in the engine bay.
February 08, 2010, 14:06
Hi Nigel. Is connecting batt cable to block and another from block to chassis poorer continuity?  Thats what I have at the moment.
February 08, 2010, 12:46
To the floor. Doesn't matter where on the body/chassis, but it's important to ensure you do have a good contact. Use a continuity tester to make sure.
February 08, 2010, 12:03
First blast in the TT for 4 months yesterday. Didn't miss a beat, but, still slow to turn over after replacing neg cable. Where do your neg batt cables attach for good ground. Cheers

February 08, 2010, 00:04
That's not something you can enforce, it's up to you to sign your post as you want to.
February 07, 2010, 23:36
Its easy then to use first names if you want ! New guys you will notice can't use 'Nigel','allan' etc, whereas oldies being a lot more familiar can...eg'Sunbeam' owners,asloc,.......just a wee thought.
If you reply to someone being helpful, its good to use their first name .....as I have seen
February 07, 2010, 23:34

February 07, 2010, 23:27

February 07, 2010, 23:26
Why?
February 07, 2010, 23:24
Just wondering if like on other forums,we should all be encouraged to sign our first names at the end of our posts.......
February 07, 2010, 22:40

This brought up the 'Virus infected' window.....http://www.classic-mustan...g48567/topicseen.html#new
February 07, 2010, 22:24

There's some dodgy links on the forum....one brought up a 'Your PC is infected' and another crapped me out of the forum!'

Depends I guess... is that with or without the steam catapult to launch the F-14 off the deck of an aircraft carrier?

It was the same on top gear with the new Typhoon fighter.......car accelerated hard and beat the aircraft for about 12 seconds if I remember.
Same with a prop aircraft.........its biting at the air and will beat a jet on initial acceleration.
