Arizona, the first US state to introduce speed cameras, have had them axed by their Republican Governor, as motorists claimed they were introduced only as a state revenue-generation tool & many refused to pay the fines - that's solidarity for you!

She was owned by the crew chief of a "Wild Bunch" Doorslammer drag car, they used her to tow the racer in an enclosed transport trailer, so that towbar is welded to the rear chassis, she ain't going nowhere!!

Hopefully Javed can download to vid I sent to him of the engine running, sounds very nice, though not as raspy as the big donky I replaced with the 428, but at twice the horsepower no surprise really.

My first thought seeing the tow bar got me thinking it was the car that towed a caravan up the 1/4 mile at santa pod many moons ago.
Interested to see engine spec and what power you might expect.

MOT today, all went well till I took the 10 mile trip in, and the front brakes stopped working! The "shuttle" on the bias block is jamming, fixed it (good old peen hammer), but jammed again so failed on that one thing. Have a new one here at home but is a total pain to change over. Radiator flush to do as well, but all looking good so far. Can't expect everything to go well I suppose as she has been sitting for 10 years now... Roll Eyes

Having fun today removing brake lines. Going to need a complete set of steel lines I think as been trying to get them off the bias block without much success and will knacker them soon I think. Was thinking of popping down a buying a little gas burner and trying to heat up the block to expand the sockets (with a heat shield placed behind it!), has anyone had any sucess doing that?
Can order them from ARP tomorrow but probably be ex USA? Has anyone got a set lying around by any chance?

Well it's taken a while to get the brakes sorted, passed the MOT Friday morning and spent the rest of the day at DVLA. Now have to have it inspected Monday afternoon as Swansea wouldn't accept NZ Dept. of Transport paperwork on car (not a Govt. dept. WHAT??? Shocked  Shocked), or Marti Report ( not official manufacturers info. WHAT??? Huh?) WHERE DO THEY GET THESE TWATS FROM?  Grin Maybe it's just the Welsh getting in advance revenge for the BLLODY THRASHING THE ALL BLACKS ARE GOING TO GIVE THEM TODAY!!!  Evil GO THE BLACKS!!!  Kiss  Grin
Speaking of which, I'm off to the pub to watch them with some (Welsh) mates.

All I know is that the guys inspecting it on Monday were laughing about it as they've been waiting to see the stang finished for about 2 years now-they work behind the bar at the pub I "occasionally" frequent, I'm sure they put Swansea up to it just so they could go for a blast!

Oh, did I say...GO THE BLACKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Beer, Beer, Beer!)
